... and no, it has nothing to do with Vanilla Ice... (or at least THAT kind of Vanilla Ice.) XD

This was also the first strip inked in Painter. I'm going to have to write a whole blog post about this... I'm not really comfortable with the Painter layout and need to research where all the tools are... but at the least the results are MUCH better than anticipated.

I also tried downloading Manga Studio 4 demos and that app just makes my head spin. I wish there were comprehensive tutorials on it. The ones on the site are practically useless. X_X;;

I have my hopes on this year being the most productive yet~ Once I can get over this FRUSTRATING FEELING of Photoshop being a PAIN.

Application works fine. It's just that my linework has steadily gotten worse and worse and for some reason it takes me LONGER to do my strips than previous. How this works out, I have no idea. Switching to brush/ink/nibs is not so much of an option -- they aren't available locally and most art shops only ship UPS. (Which is my I primarily work digitally.)

Painter folks -- do you work with a Mac? What version do you have and what size dpi/resolution do you regularly work in? I am looking for options here~ T_T;;;

For my latest trick I did a solo grind of 500 chains in Last Remnant. (Note: necessities such as eating have been put on hold since we got our engagement rings the exbawks)

I think SMT: Nocturne will always be one of my favourite games, no matter how dated the graphics might appear to other people. I think my hand atrophied away and forgot how to draw :/ Damn games! I haven't even plugged in my tablet since I got back from Malaysia no lie!

Speaking of which Tales of Vesperia has gone onto the backburner because I simply loathe Karol Capel so much that not even the promise of reconciliation between Yuri and his naggy ex-girlfriend can make me want to move forward ever. (Just left Dahngrest). Although if someone were to tell me the little shit dies later in the game I might be inspired to pick it up again.... I do want to do some fancomics for ToV and Summer Wars though uhhhh.

Anyway in 2010 I shall try not to suck as much as I did in 2009.
